  1. Re: #52 – "Ron Paul will lift government roadblocks to the use of coal and nuclear power." Great, strip-mine the last remnants of our Appalachian wilderness and pollute the Earth with poisons that will last for hundreds of generations. Good thinking! (Not.)

  2. So out of my list of 80 reasons, you were only able to disagree with one of them? Quite interesting I might add. You came in here determined to find one you disagreed with.

  3. Ron Paul supporter here.

I actually kind of agree with dale at least partially.

There is nothing wrong with clean coal unless you are a nutjob that thinks plant air (CO2) is a toxic gas. There is however something wrong with strip mining historic pieces of land just for coal. There are other less invasive ways to mine the coal.

Nuclear fission with unstable isotopes like uranium and plutonium are insane to continue to allowed to be done ANYWHERE. However, I see no problem with for example thorium fission reactors as thorium is a stable isotope. This protects from the devastating scenarios that unstable isotopes allow, by continuing fission without something forcing the reaction.

  4. There are others I disagree with but #52 leaped out as especially egregious.

  5. It comes down to what you think the role of government should be. If you think it's the role of government to tell states what they can produce or what they're allowed to trade, then I could understand agreeing with Dale.

  6. So I guess peeps would rather pay ten-triple the price of energy and pay carbon tax than be free of the burden of big government.
